RATLOS: Fehlermeldung "Internet Explorer 7 konnte nicht installiert werden"

Neben Firefox möchte ich gerne den IE7 nutzen. Leider konnte ich bislang den Browser nicht installieren. Die Hilfe von Microsoft und Google habe ich bereits bemüht - erfolglos.

IE7.log lautet:

Berechtigung bei KLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Application Compatibility kann ich nicht erteilen. Fehlermeldung: "Zugriff verweigert".

Wer kann mir helfen? Vielen Dank im Voraus!

windows xp mit sp2 ist vorhaden?

Windows aktuell ? Keine updates fehlen ?

Nochmal probieren aber diesmal vorher virescanner und andere Schutzsoftware deaktivieren.
